Old hag clings to your sugar-white ribs,
Fills your belly with brakish water,
Fish-hook fingers, pale-brown faded thigs -
Pulls the wires 'til you die in the gutter.
Her nasty whisper, oh, can you hear?
Spiders and snakes in the shell of your ear.
What should you do?
With your chest burning;
Icy mask melting;
With secrets bubbling
In the well of your throat;
Cold pale skin peeling;
Tiny skull crumbling;
Foolish, revolting -
The hints are too broad.
She molds your new shape, careless and bold,
Stabs it like a doll of soft yellow wax.
Cinder and mist where once was fine gold,
Cheap rigs, cracked gloomy mirror, ruffle 'n sex.
Musical box run-down, rusty gear,
Its tracery, china 'n glass are to tear.
What should you do?
With your chest burning;
Icy mask melting;
With secrets bubbling
In the well of your throat;
Cold pale skin peeling;
Tiny skull crumbling;
Foolish, revolting -
The hints are too broad.
Nails polished with mourning, forget-me-nots.
Who'd follow your voracious rave shine?
Cherish your blaze through crow-weed of wasteheath?
Your gyves - fierce follies, fever is the crime.
Noone to whiten you or eat your fear;
All yours the bungle, rotten burden to bear.
What should you do?
With your chest burning;
Icy mask melting;
With secrets bubbling
In the well of your throat;
Cold pale skin peeling;
Tiny skull crumbling;
Foolish, revolting -
The hints are too broad.
It bowls you over onto wet sheets,
Broken, gasping, begging for some rest,
Restrained, unchaste, trembling in this heat.
Brothel of your soul, crimson and molest.
But lethal wounds heal, recovery's near -
Like ozone and spirit, so ardent 'n clear.
